back pain

Have been standing for 6hrs, working non-stop. But alas! I feel contented that i've finished the task and the results cleared my doubts about something. But then...my back is so painful by the time i'm ready to knock off. I'm not the same as before..standing for 6hrs has strained my back. oh no! Can't deny i'm getting old.. it's sad..but it's the fact. Fortunately..friday is a public holiday and i can take some time to rest.

be Happy

Never compare yourself with your subordinates.. if you can be compared with them, what are you? you are in a different level and should be able to understand the situation better. It's not their fault that your superior like them better than you. It's time for you to see yourself in the mirror and ask, what's wrong? You should be proud that your subordinates are showing improvement in their performance.

Do not be despaired on the harsh statements from your superior. He/she will dampen your mood and feed you with negative thoughts which eventually will make your life miserable. Working is part of your life. You spend more time at work than at home. So, make it enjoyable and be happy. I've heard so much complaints lately and sometimes, they do stress me out as well.

Being promoted never change a thing. You do the same work everyday.. everybody treat you the same. It's kind of funny the company treat promotion so secretive. Why? I don't understand. They should be proud they are able to find potentials. These people will not stay long unless they are appreciated and well-nurtured to be leaders.

the little ones..

Visit my niece and nephew today. They have grown so much! Didn't have enough time for my niece who long for attention and someone to play with because i was too tired and needed rest before driving back home.

Hope to see them soon during Christmas and have some quality time with them. The little one is so adorable..he will ask 'how are you?' but continue to answer the question himself by saying 'i'm fine, thank you'. You won't have time to reply his greeting! :D

I like Google calendar. It helps to see the month's schedule easily..and sharing with a colleague ease our work arrangement much easier.

Dad needs to clean his house. Hope he's cooperative and let us do something to it. Newspapers are stacking high and it's dangerous for him to live alone like that.

old age

Dad is getting forgetful..he's forgotten today is Saturday and we're supposed to meet up. He's getting old and needs attention & care all the time. But due to our situation, it's not easy to do so. He doesn't want to stay at a Home and would rather be alone in this house. I'm afraid something might happen to him without anybody knowing..

what might happen to me when I'm old? i don't have children now. By the time I'm about his age, if i have children later on...they will be too young to take care of me. Will they put me in a Home too?

wHy?

Why..

1. does late comer always knock off on time?

2. a simple act of throwing food-related rubbish into the waste bin outside the office is so difficult to do? ants are all over the office!

3. is everyone comparing their workload with each other?

4. is there no increment even though there are more responsibilities?

5. does someone who is in charge of cleanliness inspection throwing rubbish into the drain but denying it's wrong?

6. is everyone pushing the responsibility to 1 person even though it needs teamwork to achieve that something?

warmth..

Mom was here waiting for me to get home..said she hasn't been talking to me, and wanted to have some time with me. Felt so nice about it..she even stay over to accompany me. I updated her about work, what i've been through these days..i felt warmth.. :D

auDiT

The day started with late arrival at work..hehe..just a 1-2 min..thought i'd arrive on time. But who knows traffic will be so heavy. Well..today is my first time to sit in for the audit. It was slightly boring but yes..there's always something to learn. Yeah..i'm considered an 'outsider' as i'm not really involved. Just sitting there as an observant. The auditor didn't care to even talk to me and another colleague. So, sometimes we just talked to ourselves..if not, we will fall asleep!! :D

The audit took almost the whole day and by the time it ended, we hardly have enough time to do other things..staying back till 8pm to finish replying an email which has made me feeling frustrated after reading it. Anyway, today was fully on audit and nothing much has been done on the water analysis section. So far so good..no sample was sent in. haha..

new responsibility ahead

Starting from tomorrow, i'm given a new responsibility - in charge of all analysis related to water. It's a challenge as i've never touch on this field during my 4 yrs of working with this company. I hope i can cope with the heavy work load while maintaining a cheerful heart. Ppl get easily influenced by the office politics and it sucks away all the good mood. Hope to have a good start tomorrow!
