A big decision

Just 2 weeks ago, I made a very, very important decision in my life. I purchased my first ever property!!!! YES! I'm not joking! It was a fast decision, and once the decision is made, i've felt a sense of independent in myself. Like i've overcome something and walk out of the box i'm always trying to hide myself in.

At first, it was my bro-in-law who wanted to buy a house for his kids future investment. But he suggested mom & I to stay at the house and help pay some money. The money could have been my own house instalment. So mom & I decided to buy our own house. Though the place is not any near to where I'm staying now, it's still a nice area. Away from industrial area and the hustle bustle of the city. But it will become a city of its own in the future. Jusco will be up next year and Tesco is already nearby.

Well..i'm quite satisfied with the house. Although it's a bit small at 18x60, most ppl will buy a larger house at 20x70 or 22x75. But i can only afford that much. I don't want to burden myself with the house. I still want to enjoy life while committing to paying up the loan. I hope God will prepare someone to accompany me for the rest of my life. Mom won't be with me that long and i'll be alone. I feel the anxiety whenever i think of that moment, when mom won't be around. It's so sad... but on the other hand, i'm excited about how to decorate the house. My very own house. :)

After 8 months...

8 months have gone by and what have I achieved? My 2011 resolution :

1. Make new friends - Progressing.. :)

2. Get in touch with old friends - Hmm..this i need to put more effort. Promised to visit my ex-roomate but didn't get to visit. TOo lazy i guess..her children are growing up to toddlers already!

3. Join at least one activity - This i'm proud to say i've achieved quite a few. Attending a cell group and a choir practice. Choir practice every sunday, and i was appointed the pianist for Alto section. :)

4. Go back to church - Yup. Been attending CGBC.

And...

I went to Shanghai!! :DDD Though it was not planned for a personal vacation, it was still nice to visit Shanghai for just a short trip.

2011 New Year Resolution

Things weren't going too well for me for the past few months. My life took a drastic change. I'm not sure what happened.. but my fiance decided to call off the wedding. We split up thereafter and i've never heard of him since. I've tried to contact him as mom passed him a lot of kitchenware that I need him to return to me. And my phoneline..i need to get that fixed as well cuz it's a sub line from his.

Well..i do feel proud of myself for facing this strongly. I cried a few times after the shocking news..but that was it. I decided to move on and forget about the miserable times i'd been waiting for him to return to me. I made up my mind that he won't return. Something has changed in him.

Therefore, my new year resolution :

1. Make new friends

2. Get in touch with old friends

3. Join at least one activity

4. Go back to church

5. Come closer to God (meaning praying, bible reading is a must)

I hope i can do these with the guidance of my Lord. I've nothing to complain. All this while i've put aside my Lord and did things by my own will. And here I am..all failure. Regretting is not a wise move..therefore, i need a renewing strength to face new challenges in this new year.

With the strength you give me Lord, please guide me through the year 2011 so that i can be someone worthy of your praise! Amen..

Hairdo

My first experience to set my hair before a dinner.. recommended by my colleague, June, we went to Jazmon hair salon. Coco tagged along too..haha..i was the one who dragged her there actually. But she didn't resist my persuasion. :p We had fun.. watching June doing touch-up for her hair. She was there earlier than both of us but our hair were done faster. :p And here are my hair after wash and blow-dry.

I just want to look natural, so my hairstylist did a few big curls only. I was quite satisfied with the service cuz the price is quite reasonable..RM16.00 only. :) I also bought a nice pair of black heels to compliment with my black dress. Searched at Vincci but couldn't find one which I feel comfortable with. Didn't expect to get this nice pair of shoes from Orioli (kinta city) at RM47.90 only. Got 20% discount, hehe....

ABC Pet shop

Went to ABC pet shop in downtown Ipoh. They have lots of exotic pets such as Sphynx cat, monkeys, funny reptiles..saw one small albino turtle and took a photo of it. But not sure what it's called in english.. just know in Cantonese, 'sui yu'.

And these tortoises are trying so hard to climb on top of each other! :D I do not study about their nature so i'm not so sure why they do that..haha..looks funny to me.

Mother's Day

How did you spend your Mother's Day? I had dinner with mom and our Filipino maid, Agnes, on Sat night. Her children are all in the Philippines. I brought them to In Cafe, but the restaurant has moved. Then we drove back to town and stopped by at Capucino, a newly opened cafe opposite Elim Gospel Hall. It was a blessing in disguise as it was raining heavily when we arrived at In Cafe but the rain has subsided when we got to Capucino cafe. We had set dinner and everyone was happy with the food. It was a good outing.

On the actual day of Mother's Day, i bought two bouquets of flowers at Ipoh Parade. One for mom and one for my aunt, who has given my family shelter ever since my parents divorced. She's like a mother to me too. Since her children are not around..i need to do something to make her happy, right? :P

So here are the flowers that I gave them..lilies for my aunt and sunflowers for my mom. Mom is my sunshine. :D I sang her the first line of the song too..haha..
